The Taylor Hotel
Hôtel Taylor is conveniently located between République station with its 5 metro lines, the Canal Saint-Martin made famous by the film "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain" and the increasingly fashionable northern Marais district. Completely renovated in the summer of 2008, the hotel has become a very comfortable place to stay. The Hôtel Taylor sparkles like a jewel since its total renovation, and offers impeccable cleanliness for a discerning clientele.
Inside the rooms, classic and modern blend perfectly. With the mint green of the bedspread and the soft colors of the colonial-style furniture, they give us a feeling of calm and comfort, as if we were at home.
Rooms are relatively spacious compared with other Parisian hotels.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, free of charge. A computer with Internet connection is available to hotel guests.
In the courtesy tray you'll find a kettle, cups and tea and coffee bags. All rooms are equipped with such facilities, which are still rare in Parisian hotels. There are also many rooms with baths.

Although the République district is bustling from morning to night, Hôtel Taylor is located in a quiet environment overlooking a small street. It's just a few minutes' walk from the Saint-Martin canal and the Marais district. The canal is an ideal promenade for locals and is particularly popular at weekends. Fashionable boutiques such as Antoine et Lili and Stella Cadente and trendy cafés add charm to the area. It's the perfect place for a stroll in the sunshine.
You'll have direct access to most tourist sites thanks to the 5 metro lines that pass through République station.
If you like to discover Paris by bike, the Vélib' station is right next to the hotel. You can send cards to family and friends whenever you like, thanks to the post office next door. The stop for the Paris Open Tour, the free-access double-decker tourist bus, is also just a 1-minute walk from the hotel.
About 3 minutes' walk and we're at the Place de la République with its statue of Marianne in the center. The square is bustling with stores, restaurants and cafés, as well as the Franprix supermarket. Numerous restaurant chains and fast-food outlets can also be found here.
Metro lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11 stop at République. You have direct access to department stores and Opéra Garnier (line 3), Parc de la Villette, Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, Oberkampf, Bastille (line 5), Invalides, Place de la Concorde, Place de la Madeleine, Opéra Garnier, Bastille (line 8), Trocadéro, Champs-Elysées, department stores, Oberkampf, Montreuil flea market (line 9), Belleville, Centre Pompidou, Hôtel de Ville, Châtelet (line 11). In short, most of Paris's major sites are accessible without a transfer from République. See the metro map.
If you head southwest from Place de la République, you'll already be in the upper Marais district, where a lot has been happening in recent years. It's a district full of trendy fashion boutiques like "Les Prairies de Paris", "Vanessa Bruno", "Isabelle Marant", "APC" or "Abou d'Abi Bazar". "Comme des garçons" also recently opened its boutique.
Access from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport is relatively easy. Take RER B towards Paris, then take metro line 5 at Gare du Nord towards Place d'Italie and get off at the third station, République.

Hotel des Champs Elysées
Well, you guessed it, the Hotel des Champs Elysées is located right next to the Champs Elysées. This emblematic district of Paris, known for its eponymous avenue, all the boutiques it houses and the Arc de Triomphe, has plenty of hotels to offer tourists. However, I've chosen to talk about this boutique hotel because its decor and atmosphere particularly appeal to me.
The word I would use to describe the decor is "luminous".
Whichever room you choose, you'll find a bright, pleasant room, decorated with colors such as bronze or gold.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, adjustable lighting, telephone, flat-screen TV with international channels and Canal +, free WIFI access, alarm clock, minibar, safe, courtesy tray, towel dryer and bathrobes.
It's a 4-star hotel where you'll feel right at home, with a relaxing ambience, particularly in the Balneo Suite, which features a whirlpool bath with chromotherapy system. This means you can choose a colored light for your bath, depending on your mood!
The Hotel des Champs Elysées is a friendly establishment, where the staff are friendly and very attentive to our guests' needs.

Hôtel Chaplain Rive Gauche
Hotel Chaplain is one of the many boutique hotels in Paris. This one particularly appeals to me for its bright, colorful decor throughout.
You can really feel the sense of detail and good taste of interior designer Michel Jouannet, who completely renovated the Chaplain in 2008. Warm, vivid colors combined with dark wood furniture and contemporary artworks create an extremely warm and pleasant universe.
All the rooms have one thing in common: the smile. And yes, as you can see from the photos, each room features a painting by painter Fabienne Santrot De Courrière, depicting a world-famous smile. Whether it's Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot or Mona Lisa, these paintings reinforce the hotel's elegance and refinement.
What's more, the hotel is very close to the center of Paris, between the Luxembourg Gardens and Boulevard St-Germain. Whatever your interests, you'll always find something to do in this district, whether it's shopping, bookshops, local markets, restaurants, cafés, bars, parks or the quays of the Seine...
Add to this a staff with a sense of service, and you'd almost forget the only slight downside in my eyes: the slightly high rates.
